SILENCIUM LOQUOR
ÉDITEUR DE REGARDS
The world does not lack images.
It lacks ways of seeing.
Silencium Loquor chooses restraint.
An architecture, a material, a light, a forgotten object. Nothing is spectacular, yet everything deserves to be seen.
Each photograph begins on film, through cameras sometimes a century old. Not out of nostalgia, but because this choice imposes a different pace.
This is not a collection of journeys.
It is a collection of perspectives.
A photograph is not merely made to be looked at.
It is made to inhabit silence.

This is where the works of Silencium Loquor take shape. Each work follows the same path. The gaze. The material. The paper. The wood. Then, time.
The photograph
Medium-format Rolleiflex film camera, restored and maintained by Silencium Loquor.
The negative
Black and white films, developed in the artist’s own darkroom.
The Fine Art print
Fine Art pigment print using a 12-colour ink system, produced by a specialist workshop in Rennes, France.
The paper
Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm, mounted on 2 mm Dibond.
The handcrafted frame
Selected solid woods, handcrafted in France. Hand-finished in the Silencium workshop and traditionally French-polished with shellac.
THE WORK
An image.
An object.
Silencium Loquor's photographs are meant to leave the screen. Paper, support, wood and finish are as much part of the work as the image itself.
Fine Art prints are made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper. Solid wood frames are handcrafted in France and hand-finished in the Silencium workshop. Some works are available as signed, numbered editions.

The rest belongs to the gaze.
Some works naturally find their place.
Others begin with a dialogue.
